Amy Marie Mansfield, LMSW

Therapist

Amy graduated with her Master’s in Social Work (MSW), concentrating in mental health and chemical dependency, from Eastern Michigan University in 2014. She is a licensed clinical therapist and social worker with eleven years of post-graduate clinical experience, in addition to two years of clinical experience gained during her graduate program. Amy works with children as young as 6 years old, teenagers, adults, and older adults.

In her therapeutic practice, Amy provides a safe space tailored to the needs and pace of each client. She uses a person-centered approach, ensuring that permission is always sought from her clients regarding what feels safe to process. When clients express that a topic does not feel safe to explore, this is honored and respected without question.

Amy is clinically trained and practices a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Grief Therapy, and Exposure Therapy.

“Sometimes when it feels like things are falling apart, they are actually falling into place.”
