 Bill has several decades of experience in various clinical settings in the Ann Arbor and Detroit area, helping clients of all ages, from children to teens to adults to the elderly. He has worked with clients suffering from anxiety and depression, as well as situational issues and life crises. He is knowledgeable in grief and substance abuse issues. His main approach is problem-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and he has attained Level 1 status in TEAM-CBT, a program developed by Dr. David Burns. He also has received training in the Gottman Method for couples counseling.

Bill is guided by the words of Brené Brown: “We cannot selectively numb emotions. When we numb the painful emotions, we also numb the positive emotions.”
