Karen is a compassionate and experienced therapist with 25 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including psychiatric hospitals, partial hospital programs, detox and residential substance use treatment facilities, and intensive outpatient programs. She has also provided both group and individual therapy.

Karen specializes in treating Substance Use Disorders, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Co-occurring Disorders/Dual-Diagnosis. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning she draws from a range of evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to the specific needs of each client. Karen’s goal is to create a comfortable, open environment, often using humor to help clients feel at ease while encouraging honesty and self-reflection. She balances her empathetic nature with a focus on accountability, ensuring that clients remain committed to achieving their personal goals.

In addition to her professional life, Karen is a wife and mother of two teenagers. She understands the complexities of juggling family life and personal challenges and applies this understanding to her work with clients, helping them navigate life’s overwhelming moments with compassion and guidance.
